The model man-machine
In one of the stranger stories we’ve come across recently, a man has allegedly renamed himself after the German electronic innovators Kraftwerk.
After posting his (somewhat suspicious) drivers license on Flickr, the Florida native continued with a series of images documenting the behind-the-scenes life of a krautrock-robot, with candid photographs of himself filling in petrol, eating a salad, record shopping, interacting with birds and (oddly enough) sleeping- always in the resplendent red and black outfit depicted on the cover of Man-Machine.
Strangely, we couldn’t see a spot a single pocket calculator… although we won’t be surprised to see consumer products from this model now and then…
For more of our fictional Krafterk friend’s adventures (and a great record cover blog), check out their Flickr page here. And in related news, the real Kraftwerk have recently lost a copyright claim in the Germany courts after a 2 second drum loop was sampled from their song “Metal on Metal”; you can read about the court case here.
