A slice of Four Tet’s anger

UK Dance legend Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) has lashed out against Soundcloud to his 165,000 twitter followers, amusingly referring to the service as “a total slice of shit right now”.

Echoing the sentiments previously expressed by Australian producer Chet Faker– although worded somewhat more eloquently- the UK producer took to Twitter to critique Soundcloud’s “content protection system”, which had blacklisted one of his own productions for infringing copyright.

As you can see from the tweets, not only were screenshots from Soundcloud included, but Keiren also made claims that Soundcloud were uploading his songs to his account (without his consent), and suggested he wasn’t allowed to curate his own profile anymore.

While the song (below) has now been reinstated on the platform, Four Tet is far from the only critic of the platform, with other giant names in dance music- including Deadmau5- voicing their concerns via Social Media.
