A recent Taylor Swift concert has almost ended in tragedy, with three friends driving home from the event when the driver, Elizabeth Dazzio fell asleep at the wheel.
With the car totalled and Elizabeth unconscious, the two passengers were trapped with no charged phone among them. ‘You could smell the gas and smoke,’ said Caroline Dazzio ‘I was just thinking we need to get out of this car.’
Here’s the twist: acting on a brilliant brainwave, the girls used the wristbands they bought at Swift’s show. The flashing lights on the band alerted the attention of a passing driver to the trio who were trapped in the vehicle.
On hearing the mention of her merchandise being heralded as heroic, Taylor Swift tweeted she’s ‘so happy they’re okay’, describing the news as ‘unreal’.
