Where country music fails, fried chicken prevails
Alt-country dreamboat Ryan Adams may have made a few enemies through the course of interesting career, but he’s won a few fans today.
During the a late jet-lagged walk through Auckland’s Symonds Street cemetery- where we assume all touring rock stars spend their spare time in New Zealand- Adams discovered a “clearly abandoned” feline which he decided needed a “forever home”
After “an hour at least” of Adams’ “speaking to cats voice” (described by the musician as a having a “soft, mellow” tone) the touring musician, producer, painter, and would-be animal saviour called upon his considerable social media army to rescue the cat.
Thankfully amongst Ryan’s almost 600,000 followers was Rob Isaac, who was eventually successful in removing the cat from the creepy cemetery- thanks to a tempting piece of KFC chicken.
Adams has since vowed to donate to any shelter which can find the cat a “forever home”
