Vinyl gets versatile
Hailing from Leeds, Sound Leisure, have today launched the first vinyl-playing jukebox in 20 years. Named after ‘Rocket 88’ which is deemed as the first rock n’ roll recording. The good-looking jukebox boasts a 1950s charm that complements its vintage nod.
With the distinction of currently being the only jukebox manufacturer in the world to have gone vinyl, finding the people with the skills and know-how to make it happen wasn’t an easy task. Sound Leisure’s Chris Black described the taking-on as ‘a project of epic proportion’ which, through passion and tenacity, has made the idea a reality.
Turns out this contraption is drool-worthy for vinyl-lovers with pre Christmas sales equalling one record deck per minute. Looks like the Rocket Jukebox is jetting to popularity.
